Hey, guys! Sorry I haven't posted in a while...this week has been rather busy, and I've barely had time to eat, much less write a blog post. How are you guys liking the new blog? I've found my way around quite well now, and although it's nothing fancy, I think my blog is pretty cool, if I do say so myself.
My friend and I were chatting the other day, and I this came up in our conversation. Do any of you like Star Wars? They are some of my favorite movies, and I recently went to the theatre to see the new one that came out in December. Well, not quite recently. But it makes more sense than saying 'a month ago'. Sorry, I'm rambling. Anyway, when one of the characters dies--I won't say exactly who it is since some of you might be Star Wars fans who haven't seen the movie yet and I don't want to spoil it-- I thought it was the worst thing, the way he died. Well, that got us talking. What would your ideal storybook death be? There are tons of ways to die, some of them more dramatic than others, all depending on your taste in a dramatic death scene is. Here are my top three dramatic death scenes:
1. I am a noble, well-loved princess who shaves her head in the midst of war so that she can take the place of her disabled brother in battle. In the middle of a battle, it is revealed that she is a woman and is killed on the spot by a wicked troll.
2. I am a poor peasant, an ill-treated heroine, who nurses her friend back to health after she catches a terrible disease. Then, right as she recovers from her illness, I catch the disease, and die with no one but my friend to mourn me.
3. I am a knight of valour, on my way to defend my kingdom from an evil dragon that has terrorized the land for thousands of years. Then, in the midst of battle, my best knight friend is cornered and about to be roasted alive, and I must choose between his life and mine. I throw my sword at the dragon and run to save my friend. He is saved, but not before the dragon claws at my side, and I die, and am taken back to the kingdom for a funeral worthy of a king and lots of honour.
What is your ideal death scene? It could be anything. Write about it and tell me.
To those of you who did my writing challenge, thank you. Right now I'm pretty sure no one's going to do it, and I'll just have to get rid of it, but I'll go one or two more weeks just in case. I'll check on everything later on.
From, Lydia
