Meet the Characters

Hello! Here's my response to my own, um--challenge thingy.

1. What are your characters' name, where are they from, and what are their backgrounds?
I have several characters, but there are three main ones.

Maggie, the MC, is thirteen years old. She's lived in Chicago for most of her life, but then moved to England. She used to be friendly and fun, but now she shuts out the world due to an event that I will not reveal. ;)

Elsie is a shy, quiet girl who's small for her age but extremely smart. She lives in a remote cottage in the woods with her guardian and teacher, Merlin. She becomes Maggie's best friend, but still keeps her heritage and birthright a secret for certain reasons...

Saige is the exact opposite of Elsie. She's brave, outgoing, tall, and witty. She lived the beginning if her life in mountainous Malor, but left when she turned twelve to live in her own. She doesn't tell anyone, but under all of her bravery is a deep grief about her past.

I also have some other characters that are not quite fully developed yet.

2. Which character is most like yourself and why?
Definitely Elsie, because I'm very shy but love school and books.

3. What pushed your characters together (what made them interact with each other?)?
Simply stated (because really, it's not simple at all), they had to go in a quest.

4. Where did you get the inspiration for your characters?
Well, mostly from people I know, but some of them sort if just created themselves, if that makes sense.

5. Who did you come up with first?
Elsie. The book was actually about her before I created Maggie.

6. Can your characters compare with characters in another book (for example, is your main character similar to Harry Potter)?
Saige is a lot like Twilight from the Guardians of Ga'Hoole series. I guess Elsie is a bit like Hermione, though more shy.

There we go! Here are my characters! Thank you for reading, and if you enjoyed this, do it on your blog!

Smiles,
Lydia
