Great news, guys! I just learned how to knit and  I beat my sister at chess, all in one day!

Okay, that was the most nerdy sentence I've ever said in my whole life. Don't let me ever say that again. Let's begin again, shall we?

Hi, everyone! How are you??

There, that's better.

Sorry I haven't written in a while. Between final exams, the last few weeks of school, and-- well,  something else I'll explain to you later-- I haven't had access to the computer in a while.

Plus, I couldn't find the charger.

I'm sure we're all excited about Rick Riordan's new book, the Trials of Apollo, book one of a new series. Personally (and hate on me all you want for what I say next), I've never been that big of a fan of Rick Riordan's Greek mythology works. My friend forced me to read one of the Percy Jackson books, and it had a good plot, but some of the characters were just kind of annoying. I did, however, enjoy his Kane Chronicles series, and so I look forward to trying out his new book, even if it is Greek mythology and not Egyptian.

What have you been reading lately? I know there are tons of good books out there but I'm going to the library this week and I want specifics  on recommendations for good books. I'm already planning on checking out some Shakespeare and The Crucifix, but I need MORE. Any ideas?

Speaking of books, here's a book review for those of you who, like me, need something to read.

The One and Only Ivan, By Katherine Applegate , Illustrated by Patricia Castelao: HarperCollins Children's BooksTitle: The One and Only Ivan
Author: K.A. Applegate
Summary: Ivan is a gorilla in Big Top Mall, where business was once booming but now is very slow. His best friend, an elephant named Stella, lives in the 'domain' next door. When a new baby elephant named Ruby arrives at the mall, it is up to Ivan to take care of her and finds himself keeping a promise that seems impossible to fulfill.Review: I enjoyed this book very much. Very kid-friendly, but still at a high enough lexile for teens to enjoy. The story is very interesting, and very    touching. I've read this book numerous times and enjoy it more each time.
Rating: Five star

Now, onto business. I have very exciting news that I hope you will find exciting too-- my new book! It isn't near being ready yet, and I don't know when it will be ready, but I'm definitely writing it and one day it's going to be a bestseller! The title, along with the excerpt I plan on publishing, will be kept secret until my editor (A.K.A. myself) gives me the thumbs-up to post it on my blog. So, just a heads up, keep your eyes open for more updates!

Lastly but not least, just a small request. If you have a blog that you read or write, and you read my blog, will you please give me your blog address so that I can check it out? I LOVE reading blogs and I really want to read some more. So basically, it's a deal. I'll constantly read your blog if you read mine. Does that sound good? Yay!

LIDI. READ KEEPER OF THE LOST CITIES!!! I WILL DIE IF YOU DO NOT READ THEM!!! MY LIFE IS NOW IN YOUR HANDS!!!!!! XD

No. But seriously, I can't believe you haven't read them yet.

The Trials of Apollo is ok. It's not Riordan's best work (the PJO series is better in my opinion) but it works. I don't agree with some of the Greek stuff, so that lowers my opinion.

Can't wait to read the excerpt when you finally send it to me! Lol. Hope that helps. :D
    Smiles!
