I know this seems pretty silly, but to be honest, when I started my blog, I didn't think I would even get one view. I saw bigger, better blogs and thought, wow, they're so successful. I wish I could be like them! But I've learned that I don't need any subscribers or tons of comments to feel like my blog is great (although if I ever get a subscriber, I think I'll have an emotional meltdown from pure joy, because, I mean, friends!). I wrote Quills, Pens, and Inkpots for me, and I've enjoyed it. Which is good, because if I didn't, 1,000 page views would feel like absolutely nothing. Which it isn't.
Now that I'm done with the sappy stuff, on to the good part!
1,000 page views is great! But I have goals in mind, like...
WORLD DOMINATION!
No, I'm just kidding. Although Lydia, Ruler of tthe Universe does have a nice ring to it, doesn't it?
My goal for 2017 (and the rest of 2016) is to get 3,000 page views and five subscribers. I know I said that stuff doesn't matter, and truly it doesn't, but I have basically no friends in real life and I don't want to be forever alone in blog life, too!
Of course, these goals will require some work on my part, too. I'll have to make sure to post some EXTRA cool stuff for you guys, and I can't forget to post when I'm supposed to (bad Lydia!). And of course, if you guys have anything to say you can always leave it in the comments or on my Suggestions page, which I will dutifully read and adapt to.
Now, you're probably asking yourself, "But Lydia, if we're going to the liberty of reading your blog and helping you complete these goals, what do we get in return?"
Great question, random blogger! It's the moment you've all been waiting for: REWARD TIME!
If you guys will help me complete my goals before the end of 2017, I will do a giveaway, and let me tell you, I've got some pretty cool stuff just sitting here, right on my desk, with no home **absentmindedly strokes items**. Sounds cool, right?
