Happy New Year's!

According to the time on my clock, there is exactly one hour and eighteen minutes left before 2017 arrives and 2016 goes out the door. I'm a bit sad, but still...

Happy New Year's!

How was y'all's Christmas? Mine was exceptionally good--though I did have to go have dinner with my relatives and I'm not exactly the social type. I hid most of the time. Anyway, I've been meaning to make a Christmas post, but obviously I haven't, so I'll just make it quick.

What I got for Christmas:
-a Harry Potter picture for my room
-a water bottle
-a pair of boots
-a pair of Converse
-Harry Potter and the Cursed Child
-Hattie Big Sky and Hattie Ever After (two really good books!)
-a bookmark
-two t-shirts
-a keyboard for my iPad
-an iTunes gift card
-the entire Keeper of the Lost Cities series, which my sister and I share
-a pillowcase with my favorite saying on it

I know some of those things seem kind of lame (you're probably thinking, a bookmark?) but those are the kinds of things I like for Christmas and I honestly don't think I could have been happier with my haul.

Now, to the present.

New Years is a time for new goals, new ideas, etc., etc.. What are your New Year's resolutions? I make a list every year and am ashamed to say that those lists usually end up in the trash. This year, however, I am making an electronic list for evidence and intent to keep every single one of my resolutions. Here they are, in all their goalmaking glory:

-Cut back on sugar (I eat way too much candy)
-Run a mile in six minutes (I'm currently at a mile in eight minutes, which is sloooooow)
-Always remember to do my chores
-Read 100 (different) books
-Get to bed on time

As you see, I have a lot of improving to do!

Now, while we're on the topic of New Year's resolutions, let's make some resolutions for my blog, shall we?

If there's anything you feel like I should do to improve my blog, let me know in the comments or on my Suggestions page, and they will become my blog resolutions. Writing a blog is fun, but it's much more fun when you have happy readers! Doing this will improve your visiting experience.

One hour and four minutes till New Year's!

I hope you have a happy, fun, safe New Year's Eve, and a great new year! See you in 2017,

Smiles,
Lydia
